Practicalities regarding a stay at Hjerting Badehotel
Credit card fee
When paying by business card or some foreign cards there can be a fee on it.
Tesla chargers
We have two small Tesla chargers. They are placed on the parkling lot behind the hotel. It is 16 ampere and it takes about 5-6 hours to charge.
Swimming
You can take a swim just across from the hotel. It is recommended to check the tidal calender in the reception or on the internet. It is recommended to swim three hours before and until three hours after the high tide.
A possible red flag on the beach means that it is been raining more than 25 mm. But it is not being considered healt hazard to swim after a downpour.
It is advised never to swim alone.
Grocery shopping
At the hotel we have our own delicate shop called The Shop. In our shop you will find toppings, dairy products, wine, beer, juice, chocolates, snacks etc.
In addition, there are 4 other shops close by (these are groceries stores); Meny, Netto, Fakta and Rema. Contact the reception if you wish for directions.
Kiosk
In Hjerting Kiosken, about 500 metre from the hotel you can buy magazines, papers, lotto etc.
Toothpaste, deodorant, lady stuff and cigerates can be bought in the reception.
Pharmacy
You will find a pharmacy just 2 km from the hotel. It is located right next to Rema 1000.
Petrol stations
On Bytoften maximum 500 m away from the hotel, next to Netto there is a "OK" petrol station.
On Sdr. Tobølvej about 1 km from the hotel you will find a "F24" petrol station.
Post office
In Bilka, Føtex or Kvickly have a post office. Stamps to Denmark and abroad can be bought in the reception. We can also take it to at post box for you.
ATM
Just 2 km away near the supermarket Rema1000 there is an ATM.
Kayak rental

Low tide and high tide
2 billions of water which are 6 hours changes between high tide and low tide.
By Hjerting Badehotel the difference on high and low tide is around 140 centimeters.
Sometimes the water can be very very close to the promenade and at low tide you have to walk a kilometer to get to the water.

Fit and Wellness
Hjerting Badehotel has a wellness area. It contains of a small gym and sauna and steam. Furthermore, on our 1 floor we have different people to make different treatments. See more here.

Restaurant
At Hjerting Badehotel there is 2 restaurants.
The below mentioned restaurant is our gourmet restaurant. Enjoy your dinner with an amazing view of Ho cove and the Wadden Sea. Open monday to saturday from 6pm. Book a table in the reception.

Childrens menus
Both restaurants offer childrens menus.
Laundry
Next to the stairs outside the reception there is a washing machine and a dryer. You need to buy a coin for DKK 25 in the reception and put it in the white box. The coin is both for the washing machine and the dryer.
Ironing
At the end of each corridor there are a ironing equipment that are free of charge.
Bus connections
Bus to Esbjerg is just by the hotel. Please ask in the reception.
